Long Bio: 

      CRISTINA ACTIS-ALDO will be graduating with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Oakland University in the Winter of 2025. Born and raised in Troy, Michigan, she started her musical journey at three years old studying violin. Cristina began violin with Anna Weller, then in her later years with Sonia Lee. She danced at Deborah's Stage Door for four years, and competitively for ten years at Gotta Dance dance studio. It was the summer before high school while attending a weeklong Young Americans Workshop in northern Michigan that she decided She wanted to have music in her life, full-time.

      In high school, she was in multiple choirs (Chamber Choir, Women’s Chorus) and the lead singer for the Notre Dame Preparatory Jazz Band. While discovering her love for jazz, she studied jazz piano with Scott Gwinnell. In addition to jazz band and Choir at NDP, Cristina was involved with the Musical Theatre program (featured dancer in Cinderella & Footloose, Flotsam; The Little Mermaid, Allegra Worthington; The Plot like Gravy Thickens, and Loretta Black; Tony n' Tina's Wedding).

      At Oakland University, she has been a part of University Chorus, Chorale, Symphony Chorus, Golden Grizzly Jazz Singers, and the Opera Program (Rapturous Maiden; Patience, coro; Acis and Galatea, coro: Cosi fan tutte, Hansel in Hansel and Gretel). This past summer of 2024, Cristina debuted an original role in her first ever professional musical as Grace in Gearheads, by David Nettlemen. Cristina is an excellent crossover artist singing all genres: jazz, pop, R&B, gospel, rock,Classical, and Musical Theater. She frequents the National Anthem: (OU commencements, city ofRochester Hills swearing in of Mayor Bryan Barnett, Oakland County Economic Outlook event, and OU vs. University of Michigan Men’s Basketball game at Little Caesars Arena). Cristina played Taraki's daughter in the Lifetime film "Last Man Standing" with Catherine Bell. For the last four years, she has been a lead vocalist for the top show band in Detroit, Intrigue.
